Prof. Richard Herrmann

Richard is an MD and Professor of Oncology at the University of Basel. He is formerly Head of the Division of Oncology and the Department of Clinical Research at the University Hospital Basel and Professor of Medicine at the University of Basel, Switzerland. Until recently, he was also the Chief Medical Officer of PIQUR Therapeutics in Basel. During his career he headed various national oncology societies and study groups including as President of SAKK, the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research, from 2004 to 2010 and President of Oncosuisse, the Swiss Federation Against Cancer, from 2009 to 2012.
